We're now tax-paying, home-owning adults! This is too crazy. Our new address will be 2232 Dunseath Ave. #211 Atlanta, GA 30318 so update your address books! :) We won't move until late June, but we'll be there a lot to paint (we did one wall tonight...red!) and to get new carpet and clean. More pictures to come of our new condo!!! We're so excited! Posted by Hello

Update on Peter Sautov

Peter's surgery on Friday went very well. Thanks for joining with us in prayer for him. For a couple hours Friday afternoon we were at Emory with his wife, sons, and two other couples who are close friends of the Sautov's. When the surgery was completed they notified the family and said they would be able to see him about an hour and a half later. We knew the rest of us would probably have to wait a couple days anyway. A patient needs lots of recouperation time after an open-heart by-pass surgery. So we came home Friday evening after that. Saturday night we heard (via phone) that Peter was recovering well, but of course needing lots of rest. Still only family had visited. We hope to visit him again later this week. You can join us now in thanks to God for a "so far, so good"-- which is really great-- surgery and recovery.

Saturday morning we helped the Watson's begin their move. The condo we're set to close on tomorrow is very close to their new home. We're excited about our own upcoming move and about joining the Wagner's and Riddle's at Georgia Tech in the fall (pending sufficient support).

We went to Dubs to see the fam this weekend. We had a great time! We went to see Mama and Granddaddy in McRae, went to church, saw Madagascar, played Nutsy at the Burrell's, went swimming in the backyard, and just had a blast! :) Posted by Hello

Julian took us to the Braves game on Tuesday as our wedding gift :) Poor guy had to stay on our couch. Thanks for coming to hang with us! Posted by Hello

Jenna and Doug met us for the laser show with a Birthday cake! How fun! Posted by Hello

Last Saturday we went to Stone Mountain and hiked up and down. I thought I was going to die! So pathetic... Posted by Hello

Please pray for Peter Sautov

Peter, our partnering pastor from Moscow, is here in Atlanta. He and Luba were visiting their sons and friends and having some board meetings in the middle part of May and were scheduled to fly back on Monday, but Peter was having severe chest pains. They admitted him to the hospital and, long story short, he's probably just getting started (late morning on Friday) in quadruple by-pass heart surgery at Emory. Please pray for him-- strength, healing, recovery--, for the doctors and his family. Thanks a lot. Amber and I hope to visit the family this afternoon.

Our Partners

Pictured below are Nick and Maia and their children Sasha (daughter) and Daniella (son). They began and now direct International Partnerships, a ministry focused on grass-roots evangelism and discipleship (much like Campus Outreach) among young professional Ukrainians. This summer our 7-person Cross Cultural Project is helping them expand their ministry to university students. Last week I was able to help set the team up in Kiev, and I'm really excited about all that's going on. I'll post a few more pictures and captions here, but for more on the CCP, please visit their blog-- http://ccpukraine.blogspot.com .

This weekend

Yes, I miss Michael...I'm having a good time though. I went to dinner with my parents and another family last night, went garage sale shopping, visited the Yoder's for a bit, picked out carpet for our new condo, and now I'm about to go eat with my parents and Michael's parents and Matthew. I've packed my schedule so I won't miss him too much :)
I talked to him today and they are having a great time. Kiev is so much different than Moscow...everything is closer and easier and the people are actually friendly! The partners there knew people on the street...it's great that they already are ministering to people in their community. I'm excited about this team going over there and learning from them and just encouraging them in what they are already doing. Cool.
that's all for now...

Going to Ukraine!

Well, we haven't updated much lately, but there's a lot going on. Today I'm leaving for Kiev, Ukraine with Nathan Nix. Amber will be staying home, working and visiting with family and friends. Nathan and I will be setting up logistics (apartments, cell phones, transportation plans, etc.), ministry plans (which campuses do we visit, what events do we plan, what goals do we set for the summer) and schedules for the summer with our Ukrainian partners. Please pray for our time there. The rest of the team leaves Atlanta on Sunday, arrives in Kiev on Monday. I should be back on Amber's birthday, May 19th. The rest of the team will be staying in Ukraine until July 14th. So, please pray for their own growth during the summer and for their ministry as we seek to serve the church planters in Ukraine. And please check back here for more updates. You can also check their blog, but so far I'm the only one to put anything there: http://ccpUkraine.blogspot.com

I'll let Amber share updates from her family as she's ready and able. We had fun on Mothers' Day with her family at the grandparnets' home in Dallas, GA (west of Marietta).

Let us hear from you! Thanks for reading!
